Hi, my name is Aldana, and I’m the creator behind Mithril Dice.

Mithril Dice was born from the combination of my interest in roleplaying games and something that has always been part of me: the enjoyment of creating things by hand. Before fully dedicating myself to this project, I worked for several years in the food service industry, and it was thanks to those early paychecks that I was able to start buying the tools and materials needed to gradually build my own workshop.

The idea for the project began to take shape in mid-2023, initially as a parallel and experimental endeavor. In May 2024, after being laid off from the company where I worked, I took that moment as the final push to commit 100% to Mithril Dice. Since then, this venture has become my main source of work.
Today, I make my living from my project, my business, and my art.

I work as a craftsperson and creator with a very conscious approach: I think carefully about materials, timelines, costs, processes, and possible mistakes, but also about the experience of the person receiving the product. I don’t improvise without intention; when I experiment, it’s done with purpose and an understanding of the craft.

One of the foundations of Mithril Dice is this balance between creativity and structure. I can work from narrative, aesthetics, or design and, at the same time, translate each decision into clear processes, realistic timelines, and transparent sales conditions. This allows me to sustain a handcrafted project without losing order or quality.

I’m demanding of my own work, not out of empty perfectionism, but out of respect for the craft. I prefer to explain things clearly rather than create false expectations, and I prioritize making sure that each customer understands what they are purchasing, how it is made, and what to expect from a handcrafted product.

I don’t seek to copy others or compete by being the cheapest option. Mithril Dice has a clear identity that evolves over time, but always maintains an honest position:

this is what I do, this is how I work, and this is how I understand craftsmanship.

At present, I carry out most of the work on my own, but the project is not sustained by one person alone. I rely on the support of friends, family members, and my partner, who help occasionally at different stages of the process. Altogether, Mithril Dice is supported by a team of approximately six people, even if not all of them are involved on a permanent basis (and I’m already building a fixed team 👀).

Mithril Dice is an independent project in constant growth, built on the belief that craftsmanship is not disorder, and that creativity is also sustained through limits, clarity, and respect for one’s own time. This is the foundation behind everything you see here.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for your time and for supporting my work.
